FINANCIAL/FISCAL COMMITTEE
The organizational intent of this committee is to function as a representative of the Luzerne/Schuylkill Workforce Investment Board, Inc. The committee will prepare financial information and report on fiscal matters regarding all LSWIB funding areas.

PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION COMMITTEE
The organizational intent of this committee is to function as a representative of the Luzerne/Schuylkill Workforce Investment Board, Inc. The committee will develop, establish, and negotiate the local common measures for approval from the Center for Workforce Information and Analysis, Department of Labor, acting on behalf of the Governor. Evaluate and oversight of the local workforce development system through the PA CareerLinks and as directed by the guidelines of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. The Committee shall work with WIB staff to the board, PA CareerLink representatives, and any and all other interested parties to develop performance standards and evaluation policies. The Committee will also implement monitoring and oversight activities to ensure effective utilization of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) resources, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement over the life of the Local and Strategic Plans.

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The organizational intent of this committee is to encourage regional planning efforts that facilitate regional economic and workforce development partnerships within the Luzerne/Schuylkill Workforce Investment Area and the surrounding counties. The committee shall work with WIB staff to the Board, PA CareerLink representatives, and any and all other interested parties to develop policies and programs that will ensure effective regional coordination of all Workforce Investment Act (WIA) resources.

YOUTH COUNCIL
The Youth Council provides a forum for stakeholders to collaborate on establishing a pipeline of a future workforce into the Region’s key industries. All stakeholders are interested in promoting the academic and career readiness of youth located in Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties. The committee is comprised of representatives from business, K-12 and postsecondary education, PA CareerLink, county government, youth serving organizations; community services agencies, and juvenile justice.
